Description: 7” tall carved.  This gourd evolved dramatically as I worked on it.  The initial plan was to carve the basket weave around the outside of the gourd between the sunflowers.  I started by drawing the design then pyrographing it into the gourd.  I then started removing the sections I didn’t need.  After fighting to get the first section removed I found out just how thick this gourd was.  This is when I changed the design slightly and added more carving into the flowers and butterflies as well as the basket.  The gourd was then re-pyrographyed and painted with acrylics.
